Fulton County commissioners will consider more than $10.6 million in transportation contract extensions Wednesday, Oct. 21, along with a Sandy Springs sewer easement and the county’s 2027 legislative agenda.

The meeting begins at 10 a.m. in Assembly Hall at the Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor St. SW in Atlanta, according to the county’s meeting notice.

The larger transportation request would extend Transdev Services Inc.’s contract for Senior Services and Behavioral Health programs through Dec. 31, 2027. The proposed 12-month extension carries a spending limit of $9,589,074.96 and was held from the board’s Oct. 7 meeting, according to the agenda.

A second request would extend Atlanta-based Common Courtesy’s ride-sharing services for eligible Fulton County residents ages 60 and older. That three-month extension would run Jan. 1 through March 31, 2027, with a spending limit of $1,062,000.

The services support older residents across Fulton, including those using the Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Complex in Sandy Springs. The county also operates senior facilities elsewhere in north Fulton, including its new Health & Human Services North Senior Center in Alpharetta.

Commissioners will consider accepting a 1,757-square-foot sewer easement from KW 35 Glenlake LLC for the Glenlake Project at 35 Glenlake Parkway. The dedication would grant the county sewer easement rights on the property.

Two proclamations also recognize Sandy Springs programs. Commissioner Bob Ellis is sponsoring “Springway Trail Network Morgan Falls Connector Day,” while Commissioner Dana Barrett is sponsoring “Environment Sandy Springs Ecosleuth Children’s Program Day.”

The board is scheduled to review and consider approval of its 2027 legislative agenda. County management will also provide operational updates covering Registration and Elections, Senior Services, Finance, and the Department of Real Estate and Asset Management.

Barrett is sponsoring a separate resolution directing county management to work with the county attorney and chief information officer on generative artificial intelligence policies. The proposal addresses privacy, accuracy and human oversight across county government.

Other items include a $260,460 renewal with Tattnall Journal Inc., doing business as Tattnall Ballot Solutions, to print ballots for the 2027 municipal and runoff elections. Vice Chair Khadijah Abdur-Rahman is also seeking a requirement that the full board approve voting delegates to two county-government associations.

The meeting comes as the county’s new Budget Commission works toward a Nov. 15 deadline to propose a 2027 budget. Sheriff Patrick Labat, Solicitor General Keith Gammage and other justice leaders have said they intend to present their requests directly to the full board instead of attending commission hearings, according to the Center for Civic Innovation.

Residents may attend in person or watch through Fulton Government Television. Requests to speak in person and registration for virtual public comment must be submitted before the clerk opens the 10 a.m. meeting.
