Walter S. Rekuc Jr. is running for the Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District board in the Nov. 3, 2026, nonpartisan election.
The Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission’s directory identifies Rekuc as an elected Fulton district supervisor. He is also named on the district’s fiscal 2025 work plan.
What supervisors do
Conservation districts coordinate soil and water protection, work with landowners and partner agencies, and support conservation planning and education. The state’s supervisor handbook describes responsibilities involving conservation practices, erosion-control planning and cooperation with local, state and federal agencies.
These district duties are separate from the county commission and from operating a municipal water utility. A supervisor does not independently set household water rates or enact the county budget.
Campaign information
The official sources reviewed establish Rekuc’s board service but do not provide a detailed new 2026 campaign platform, project funding proposal or implementation timetable. This profile does not attribute unverified promises, employment histories or project cost figures to him.
