Families outside Fulton County can now pay $11,000 a year to send their high schoolers to North Springs High School in Sandy Springs, part of a new district initiative that puts the school's magnet programs within reach of students across Georgia.

Fulton County Schools launched the "Find Your Future at Fulton" program for the 2026-27 school year, and North Springs is one of four participating schools. The school promoted the opportunity on its official X account on Wednesday, July 29, noting applications remain open.

The tuition runs $11,000 per student annually, or $5,500 per semester, according to Appen Media. Applicants must be Georgia residents in grades 9 through 12, apply through Infinite Campus as "New to Fulton County," and then email [email protected] with their registration number.

Students who have missed 10 percent or more of school days are ineligible. Anyone with a history of long-term suspension or referral to an alternative school will not be accepted.

What North Springs offers

The draw is North Springs' three magnet tracks: STEAM, Creative Arts Conservatory, and Accelerated Career Diploma. The Creative Arts program includes Music Industry courses alongside dance, theater, and visual art. The Accelerated Career Diploma track is pitched as preparation for high-skill, high-wage jobs.

North Springs runs a year-long A/B block schedule, which the school says gives students more time to learn, practice, and apply material. The school also offers 26 AP courses and 17 varsity and JV sports teams.

Acceptance does not guarantee placement in a specific magnet program.

New building on the way

North Springs is in the middle of a major construction project under Fulton County Schools' Capital Plan 2027. A new building is scheduled to open in August 2027, meaning tuition-paying students who enroll now would move into a brand-new facility for their second year.

Other participating schools

North Springs joins Fulton Academy of Virtual Excellence, Global Impact Academy, and Northview High School in the tuition-based program. The district's program page describes the initiative as expanding access based on available capacity and admissions criteria.

No application deadline has been publicly posted, though the school's July 29 post states it is "not too late" to apply. Fulton County's first day of school is August 3.
