North Springs High School will play its 2026 homecoming game at crosstown rival Riverwood High School on Friday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m.
The school announced the matchup on X on Wednesday, Sept. 16, giving the Sandy Springs football community about a month's notice. The game will be played at Riverwood's campus at 5900 Raider Dr.
Both schools sit within a few miles of each other along Roswell Road in Sandy Springs and compete in Fulton County Schools. North Springs is at 7447 Roswell Rd. Riverwood is at 5900 Raider Dr.
The homecoming contest is a rematch. Head coach Walter Vaughn's Spartans beat Riverwood 48-12 in the season opener on Friday, Aug. 21, a blowout that also marked a program milestone.

The North Springs athletics account posted that celebration on Aug. 21, after the Spartans claimed the program's 300th all-time victory. The official North Springs account called it "an amazing win over crosstown rival Riverwood to take North Springs to 300 wins" in a separate post that same night.
The 300th win added to a football history that includes a 1969 state championship. North Springs Athletic Director Keith Thomas and Riverwood Athletic Director PJ Graybeck oversee the two programs heading into the Oct. 16 rematch.
Riverwood head coach Josh Coffey's Raiders will look to close a 36-point gap from the opener when the teams meet again under the homecoming lights.
