The Sandy Springs Wine Festival returns Sunday, Oct. 11, with more than 175 wines, bites from 13 restaurants and live jazz at a new venue.

The fourth-year festival will be at Mount Vernon Way and Galambos Way, where a tented setup will host two tasting sessions. A Reserve Tasting runs from 2 to 3:15 p.m. with higher-end and limited-production bottles. The General Tasting follows from 3 to 5 p.m. with wines spanning Italian Sangiovese and Barolo to French pours from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Provence.

General Tasting tickets cost $75. Reserve Tasting tickets are $135 and include access to both sessions. Both are billed as all-in, according to Rough Draft Atlanta.

A portion of Reserve Tasting proceeds benefits Solidarity Sandy Springs, a nonprofit food pantry on Roswell Road that serves 750 to 850 families per week. The pantry launched in March 2020 during the COVID shutdowns and has served more than 125,000 shoppers, according to the organization's website.

Festival organizer Jan Paul highlighted a Georgia producer in the Reserve lineup. "Wolf Mountain Vineyards Blanc de Blancs Brut, a Georgia French-style sparkling Chardonnay … crisp, elegant, and bright with citrus and spice notes," Paul wrote in the Rough Draft Atlanta preview. Other Reserve producers include Quilceda Creek, Cayuse, Cos d'Estournel and Bevan Cellars.

Complimentary bites come from Bishoku, Bocado, Buckhead Club, Chef Rob's Caribbean Café, Culinary Dropout, Fogo de Chão, il Giallo, Nothing Bundt Cakes, River Ridge Bistro, Southern Bistro, Sugar Daddy Cookies, The Hampton Social and Tre Vele. Jazz quartet Haden Rider with Rare Affair provides the live soundtrack.

Tasting Committee chairperson Karen Trylovich called the festival "one of the community's most anticipated annual events" in a Sept. 3 Fulton Neighbor article announcing the new City Green location.

The Greater Perimeter Chamber produces the event with in-kind support from the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center and Visit Sandy Springs, Appen Media reported. Attendees must be 21 or older with a valid ID. The event runs rain or shine.
