A drag parody of Golden Girls is coming to Sandy Springs this fall, the latest booking in a 2026 season that the publicly owned Performing Arts Center has packed with comedy, international music, and wellness programming.
Golden Girls: The Laughs Continue takes the Byers Theatre stage on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 7 p.m., according to the City of Sandy Springs events calendar. The unauthorized, affectionate parody features drag performers portraying the iconic foursome in a new storyline. Tickets range from $40.35 to $113.50 at SandySpringsPAC.com. The show is 18-and-older only.
The booking fits a broader push at the PAC, located at 1 Galambos Way, to program beyond traditional concerts. In a blog post published in July, the center described itself as "a civic gathering place" where residents come together through storytelling, music, humor, and creativity. The venue's role, the PAC wrote, is to steward a space where people from many backgrounds feel invited into the cultural life of the city.
Wellness series sold out early sessions
That philosophy drove the launch of R&R: Refresh & Renew, a wellness series that debuted in the PAC's Studio Theatre in January. The first two sound bath meditation sessions, held Monday, January 12 and Monday, February 9, sold out. Led by sound healer Malinie Feeney, yoga educator TJ Elizabeth Mangrum, and Pilates instructor Amy Harris, the initial run also included yoga and a Pilates & Prosecco class through March. Tickets were $31.25 per session.
Executive Director Bill Haggett introduced the series on the PAC's blog in January, calling it an effort to create "moments of restoration" in an arts-centered environment. Future R&R dates have not been announced; the PAC's website lists sessions as they are confirmed.
International acts round out the season
The 2026 calendar also features the Prague Philharmonia, Billy Ocean, The High Kings direct from Dublin, the Vienna Boys Choir, and guitarist Jesse Cook. Specific dates for those performances are listed at SandySpringsPAC.com.
The center, which won a Georgia Business Journal Best Theatre Venue award in 2025, also houses CityBar & Café, open Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parking is $10 in the underground deck or $15 for valet at most performances. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m., and two hours before showtimes: (770) 206-2022.
