A dispute in the 8500 block of Roswell Road on Saturday, Aug. 15, ended with two people shot, including the suspect who turned the gun on himself, Sandy Springs police told 11Alive.
Officers found two people with gunshot wounds after responding that morning.
The department told 11Alive the incident started as a dispute outside. It escalated when the suspect left, retrieved a firearm and returned. He shot the other person and also shot himself, police said.
Both were transported for medical treatment and are expected to recover. The suspect remains in custody while recovering from his injuries.
Police have not released the suspect's name, and no charges have been announced. The investigation remains open.
