Riverwood International Charter School's seventh-grade football team claimed the middle school region championship Saturday, Oct. 24.

Riverwood Athletics announced the title on its social media accounts, congratulating the Jr. Raiders on the win. The school did not release a final score or name the opponent.

The region crown earns the Jr. Raiders a home playoff game. They will host the winner of the Oct. 31 matchup between Kell and Hiram in the first round of the middle school playoffs. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Riverwood's Hoskyn Stadium.

The Kell-Hiram result Oct. 31 will determine which team travels to Sandy Springs for the Nov. 7 game.
