North Springs High School hosted the Fulton County Schools All-Access Expo on Saturday, Oct. 3, giving families a close look at the Sandy Springs campus's specialty programs.
The free event ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and was aimed at eighth and ninth graders, though it was open to all Fulton County Schools (FCS) families. Attendees could explore programs available at their home high schools or through the district's Change of School Assignment (COSA) transfer process, according to FCS.
North Springs used the spotlight to showcase a deep roster of specialty tracks. The school's STEAM magnet includes Dance, Theatre, Music Industry, Chorus and Visual Arts pathways through its Creative Arts Conservatory, where students must earn at least eight performing and visual arts credits. The school also promoted its Accelerated Career Diploma (ACD) program, which offers two industry certifications in fields such as business management, computer science and welding.
Beyond the magnet, North Springs highlighted Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) certifications in engineering, graphic design, healthcare sciences and TV production, among others. The school also featured AVID, JROTC and what it called the only ninth-grade academy in the county.
The Promise Career Institute, a career and technical education program based in College Park, also participated in the expo. PCI said in an Oct. 3 post on X that staff met prospective students and families at the event.
The expo comes as the Roswell Road campus prepares for a major change. A $177 million replacement building, designed to hold up to 1,500 students, is scheduled to open in August 2027. That is a significant capacity jump from the school's current enrollment of about 1,195. The new campus will also house a north PCI location.
James Landreau, the school's magnet coordinator, and Erica Fox, FCS director of accelerated and extended programming, both retweeted the school's expo recap on X.
North Springs was recognized as a 2026 AP Honor School by the Georgia Department of Education in categories including AP Access and Support, AP Humanities and AP Humanities Achievement, the school announced in a May 20 post on X.
Families interested in North Springs can schedule a campus tour. The next one is Thursday, Oct. 22.
